nursing-friendly dresses

Dress via Mata Traders (locally at Four Corners of the World Milwaukee & on sale!) similar style here, here and here | Off-white cardigan via LOFT (I'm obsessed with how soft this one is and it's also 40% off right now!) | sandals old Similar here and here

I hope you're all enjoying your week! The weather has been crazy these past few days. First it's 40's then it's in the 70's and now we're in another stretch of colder weather. But I'm just over here dressing like it's spring for real haha! All the trees are slowly blooming and it's always a good sign if you ask me ;) Also, Benjamin has a week off and we're enjoying this time together to the fullest. We decided not to go anywhere but instead spend time home and have a sort of "staycation" while visiting and doing things we haven't been able to in what seems like ages! This past weekend we were able to spend time with family and celebrate Gabriel's 4th birthday a little earlier. And I seriously can't believe my baby is almost 4 years old. It's all so incredibly bittersweet. He seems so much more like a big kid lately too! Some days my mama heart can't take it but I'll have to leave all of those emotions for another post!

I've recently been asked by a few of you to share more nursing friendly styles. I don't remember if I've shared this here before but the reason I started sharing fashion/style posts was because I was breastfeeding and couldn't find anything to wear! It was so incredibly frustrating and in an effort to get out of that slump I started to blog about nursing-friendly clothing. You can read my first post with indoor lighting here lol! Therefore, I can totally relate with needing ideas for what to wear while breastfeeding. I never thought this would ever be an issue but it really can be tricky to stay feeling stylish while nursing. It helped me out a lot to share my style posts on the blog because I started thinking more creatively about my clothes. Although I like clothing that is made specifically for breastfeeding I sometimes find that they are much more expensive and the styles are so limited. It's been fun sharing clothes that aren't specifically made for breastfeeding but that work just the same!

This ethically made dress by Mata Traders happens to be one of those styles that work great for nursing. Whenever I wear a shirtdress I always wear a thin tank underneath to help give me more coverage. If you've followed me for a while then you know I'm a huge supporter for mom's to be able to feed their babies in whatever way they feel more comfortable. I think the key word in all of this is comfortable because I'm definitely more of a modest nurser. Anyway- I love that this dress has pockets and it's such a cute style for Spring. I styled it with this cardigan that's ultra-light and I'll likely be wearing it a lot of those chillier summer nights! I'll continue to share more nursing-friendly styles and if I have a post that may not seem like it's nursing-friendly I'll be sure to share how I make it so!

Have a great rest of your week!
